Explosive Holds were first introduced as a new Vault type exclusive to Kings Canyon in Season 8: Mayhem, where they quickly became popular. However, despite the fact that Explosive Holds on Kings Canyon are not as lucrative as vaults and bunkers on other levels, they are definitely one of the most accessible vault types in the game, since all that is required is a well-placed ordnance to blow those doors apart. However, according to a bug discovered by YouTuber RossBobSquirrel, it looks that the procedure has been simplified even further, with players being able to engage Explosive Holds on Kings Canyon without wasting a grenade.
As RossBobSquirrel illustrates in their video, the only thing players require in order to pull off this exploit is for a Revenant to utilize his Death Totem Ultimate Ability, as is demonstrated in their video.
This is due to the fact that this exploit takes advantage of the functionality that allows players to be returned to the totem after they die.
