The days of the Hearth and Medal programs appear to be numbered, thanks to the Overwatch 2 PvP Beta, which showcased the next sport's brand-new Scoreboard display screen in the process of being played. In Overwatch 2, those who access the Scoreboard panel will now see a real-time display of specific critical statistics for all of the players on the server, including Eliminations, Assists, Deaths, Harm, and Therapeutic, among other things.

Blizzard's Overwatch 2 PvP Beta patch notes state that "both systems are no longer required, with the new Scoreboard giving a more accurate and easier to read display of each player's performance-related data," according to the patch notes. "We definitely intend to revisit the Fire system in the future because it has the potential to generate excitement and good feedback when you or your teammates make a spectacular play. All of these modifications are still in the early stages, and we are interested in hearing what the community has to say about them!"
