Ghostwire: Tokyo First Impression

It may be a little early, but I'd want to share my initial thoughts.

First and foremost, I chose this game since it is clearly not a horror game, as evidenced by the trailer. I've been wanting to play a game with ghosts or supernatural themes, but most of them have turned out to be horror, and I despise jump scares.

The combat mechanics are similar to those of a first-person shooter, but with skill upgrades. Because I barely unlocked anything, it's a little difficult for me to voice my thoughts on this. I'm looking forward to a lot of the things I'll be unlocking and experiencing later on.

The visuals are quite detailed. For me, walking about the city and looking at things is a very enjoyable experience. Almost every billboard has text that you can read. Although the rain appears to be a little unappealing, and you are unable to see your own reflection in the mirror. It's a pretty excellent performance. The game plays at 120 to 160 FPS at 2k resolution on my RTX 3070 Ti with Ray Tracing (low) enabled. There were a few lag spikes, but they were minor and unobtrusive.

The lack of soundtracks in the game I've played is a drawback. Most of the time, there is no BGM, or if there is, it isn't memorable enough to keep me from forgetting about my 100-minute encounter.

Finally, here's the nice one. In this game, you can pet dogs.

Because I don't play many games, I could be considered a picky gamer. This game made a great first impression on me. If the theme or vibe of the game appeals to you, and you don't mind the mechanics when you look at them, and you have a decent PC to enjoy the graphics, then I recommend it.
