Udyr rework abilities
While there aren't any specifics about Udyr's updated kit going around yet, Riot has a clear vision for where they want to take the jungler's appearance. They want to preserve the focus on melee combat while while preserving his "stance-changing identity."
"We believe that this is what distinguishes Udyr from the competition and makes him stand out on the roster," head champion producer Ryan 'Reav3' Mireles said in January 2022.
But they have to balance this more straightforward kit with a modern game that is filled with dashes and flashy effects: "We want to add a bit more intrigue to his stances and melee pattern to provide some more complexity to playing him, as well as make it more obvious when Udyr is doing something great."
Udyr rework
Every VGU skin, including Udyr's 3250 RP ultimate Spirit Guard aesthetic, will be redone. Below is a list of his cosmetics.

Definitely Not Udyr (975 RP)
Dragon Oracle Udyr (1350 RP)
Spirit Guard Udyr (3250 RP)
But preserving his Shaman persona is the purpose of these redesigned designs.
“We aim to modernize Udyr's aesthetics while preserving his warrior shaman motif. But we aren't trying to reinvent Udyr's look,” Reav3 remarked.
